The Daily Grind:
This restaurant is located at the Rondebosch Oval and wanted to provide their guests with an additional experience.
Based on the site visit and mutual understanding we provided the restaurant with a optimized and producing solution. The 2 tiered planter boxes provide leafy and fruit producing vegetables while the trellisses are used for support and different sizes of planters for herbs.
The dishes served in the restaurant are containen their own produce.
Private customer Pinelands:
After our site visit and based on the wishes of our client, we designed and build these large planterboxes from reclaimed pallet wood.
Eventhough the garden is spacious enough the dogs and the wish to relocate the vegetable garden we put these containers on wheels. Production contains leafy, root and fruit style vegetables.
Being passionate about urban farming, fresh and own produce and delicious food I am giving time and expertise to this NGO. At GROW, we believe that each community can flourish by a sustainable and low cost urban farming solution. By installing the farm, training the community and organizing events we are feeding over 200 kids with fresh and nutrious meals.
This farm is located at the New-Horizon community in Tafelsig, Mitchell’s plain.
